You are confusing me. You say 8/9/21 is the 5th month. Now you say 9/18/21 is the 7th month. What happened to the 6th month? It’s not even two weeks between the 5th month and the 7th month. Thank you.

“The Next New Moon is Expected To Be sighted In Jerusalem as early as Saturday, September 29th, 2019”.

The 29th (today) is a Sunday, not a Saturday.

    Has it been sighted yet?

    1. Yes it has!!! Just posted the full report and update!

I’m in California and I saw the crescent at 3pm today, Tuesday 9/24/2019!! I was so floored/couldn’t believe it! But it is true, a small white crescent in the bright blue sky. I can send you the photo if you like. I know we only go by the moon sighted in Israel but up to this moonth I have always seen the moon the same day as what you post here so please tell those in Israel to go out today and look narrowly! πŸ™‚

  1. I guess the moon has been sighted for May? Was it seen this evening?

    1. I have not received any reports that it was sighted tonight, therefore it will begin tomorrow evening since tomorrow will be the 30th day.

Shane: Welcome to the congregation of YAHWEH and his so, and the Holy Spirit.. Research: Is the Greek word for “Jesus” translation salvation as the Hebrew word is? Yahushua/Yahshua is translated as YAH is salvation. Remember broad is the way. These are important times to get right. It is a little flock after all by the master”s own words.

Thank you. July 18th it is, not the predicted July 17th. As you know it has been consistently predictable last 3 new moons, we are moving out of state, a big move, costly and plans from our end and the side “world” to coordinate through pagan time set we are in, THIS IS A GOOD REMINDER to me and to anyone else who loves YHWH, that YHWH is in command. And so, my dear brothers and sisters through Yahushuwah, remember that,,,AVINU in HaShamayim, is in command. Never Man nor the evil one. My wife and I will lost a day and an extra cost of another night in a hotel and we are on a Soc.Sec fixed income, at first, it seems inconvenient in this pagan world…. But I look at it as an opportunity to prove our love to the only CREATOR, YAHUWAH. HalleluYAH ! !

great job you’re doing here and great service to the people coming out of babylon and coming back to yhwh and his torah.
however. i find the use of the babylonian “month names” to be against torah. are they used in the original hebrew torah texts??? i suspect they should ONLY be referred to as first moon or khodesh rishon (rishon khodesh) (not sure how that should go, LOL)… etc.

Hi, Mark. Shabbat Shalom. We are trying to figure out the new moon next and then count for the Passover and H.D.\D.U.B. We noticed the anticipatory comment above about Jerusalem sighting may be on the 1st of April. Have you noticed if it usually reaches the U.S. one OR two days later; in other words, that pattern? When the sky is cloudy or there’s precipitation, it’s not possible to visually tell. We have not advanced enough in our learning calculations to compare Jerusalem timing to the U.S. So a basic pattern would be helpful, although we know it’s not etched in stone with our human capabilities like it is in Yahuwah’s design. We are still learning…
    Thanks.

It would be quite a coincidence if the 1st of Abib were to be on the 1st of April. Has that ever happened before. Not important though. What is of no little importance is that pope has declared easter to commence on the 20th of April so as to separate it from Pasover. They have been doing this for centuries because of their abhorence of the Israelite feasts.

Hi! I was so happy to come across this site. In the last couple of years I have learned of the original calendar, but it is so hard in the way that many I have looked up are a day or 2 different from others I’ve found, so to find a place where you actually go by the sighting and post it, that is such a help! I have one problem though… being in Australia, we’re a day ahead of you… so because we’re supposed to go by Jerusalem new moon sightings, what does that mean for me? I’m trying to work it out by new moon calculations but I’m a bit confused.. I have an app on my phone that tells me the new moon for the northern or southern hemisphere, and it shows 0% illumination, then 3% or 5% (which, I assume, would be the sighting) but it doesn’t say if it’s before or after sunset.. nor does it say specifically for Jerusalem… if there is a method you could recommend for me, I would be very appreciative! Thanks πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Rachel,

Simply put, Jerusalem starts the day. So once the New Moon is Sighted there, then you keep it as it comes to you. You get that? If not I’ll be glad to explain further. I am so happy to hear you have been blessed by our site. Shalom and Many More Blessings!

        • Rachel on February 1, 2014 at 7:26 am
        • Reply

So I should just go by the sighting of the new moon here? If it’s before sunset, that would start the day on that evening, and after sunset the following evening? Is that right? This whole sighting thing makes it very hard to plan ahead.. do you think it would be ok if I went by the 3% or 5% illumination according to the app? It’s the 1st Feb here, and the app says 3% illuminated. So I could assume this evening is the beginning of the month? It’s hot but cloudy… I can’t see the moon.

        1. Yes this evening The 1st of February is the New Moon by default. Since it was not sighted last night in Jerusalem, and you cannot have more than 30 days in a month. But, No, you do not go by the sighting where you are at, you want to go by the sightings in Jerusalem. That is the way we all stay on track with the same day and in the future when we all go up to keep the feast, we will all be gathering on the same day. You keep the same day that it is sighted in Jerusalem as it comes to you. We send out a report that way you are notified when it has been sighted. For planing ahead, you know approximately what day it is expected, and then you just keep whatever day it is sighted as it comes to you. I hope that makes it clear for you. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask! Shalom!

Thankyou. I need to know which weekdays are high Sabbaths so my husband knows when to book a day off work. I’ve been looking at the moon phases in Jerusalem and have estimated the start of each month for this year, going by a 1.5% or more sighting after the conjunction (I checked on here to see January’s sighting and looked online – it was sighted at 1.7% illuminated). Yes, I did think it was supposed to be from Jerusalem. I’ve read that before. I received the email today regarding the latest sighting. I’ve got it marked in my diary when each new month this year should start, so I’ll just keep updating as the sightings are reported. Thanks for all this! Rach

    Shalom, Mark!
I had to make a comment here that it’s so weird that everyone was making such a big deal about the first day of Hanukkah falling on Thanksgiving Day, as well as Comet ISON coming to perihelion (closest to the sun) on that day as well when Hanukkah really will not be until the 25th day of Kislev, approx at the end of December, right? What do you think is the approximate percentage of Jews that actually mark the moedim according to YHWH’s calendar nowadays? My father’s side are all Jewish, and they think I’m the one who’s incorrect even though I have made reference to the scriptures that they are familiar with.

Thanks, and blessings upon you! Maranatha!

Mark you mean the 7th month and not the 6th Right. The bible says And on the first day of the seventh month should be the Blowing of trumpets. But your web says its the 6th biblical month which would be incorrect because the bible says on the 7th month.

    1. According to my understanding of how to calculate the calendar, this new moon sighted Saturday, September 2013 is the first day of Elul. It is not Yom Teruah (Trumpets) the first day of the seventh month. Next new moon will be Yom Teruah the first day of the Seventh month according to the scriptures. For explanation about how to determine the calendar watch the Creator’s Calendar video here http://whenisthenewmoon.com/the-creators-calendar-hebrew-calendar/

        Hi Mark,

Are you able to confirm the sighting of the new moon for this month. I observed the Feast of Trumpets on sept 5.th 2013 which was according to the Hebrew calendar. That also leads me to my next question, what is therefore the correct date for Atonement? Is it sept 14th 2013?

        Kind regards,

        Mel

        1. Hi Mel,

According to my understanding of how the new year is to be determined, the sighting of this new moon (which was sighted Saturday, September 7th, 2013 view report here) starts the sixth month, not the seventh. Simply, this year, the first new moon that was sighted after the time that spring hit, was sighted April 11th 2013. This makes this month the sixth month, and next month the seventh month. For my understanding of the fall feast dates 2013, please visit this page http://whenisthenewmoon.com/feast-date-calendar/

I hope this answers your question.
          Abundant Blessings!

Add me to your new moon report. How come there is a difference in what month we`re waiting for ?? I`m awaiting the sixth month??

    grtz Stefan ,Holland

    1. Shalom Stephen! We are waiting for the fifth month this moon because it is a leap year this year. The first month is determined by the first new moon after the spring equinox. Please watch my video “The Creator’s Calendar” http://whenisthenewmoon.com/the-creators-calendar-hebrew-calendar/ for more info on why this year is on different times then the Normal Well Known Schedule. I hope this answers your questions and feel free to ask anymore as they come! Blessings….
